Mr. Yasin Ibar is the Chairman of Ogaal Solutions, a Director of the Somali Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and a Board Member of the Somali Institute of Certified Public Accountants (SICPA). He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).

With over 15 years of experience across Somalia’s public and private sectors, Mr. Yasin has developed strong expertise in auditing, financial advisory, institutional development, public financial management, and private-sector growth. He has led audit and advisory engagements, supported the establishment of accounting and internal audit functions for SMEs, and advised organizations on financial governance, internal controls, and institutional strengthening.

He has also contributed to initiatives supporting Somalia’s economic development and state-building agenda, particularly through strengthening private-sector institutions and promoting sound financial management practices.

In addition to his professional and leadership roles, Mr. Yasin is a researcher in Economics and Finance, with particular interests in contemporary Islamic economics, public financial management, financial governance, and private-sector development.

As Chairman of Ogaal Solutions, he provides strategic leadership and governance oversight, supporting the company’s growth and its contribution to stronger, more competitive, and professionally managed institutions.
